About The Hadith Says

As an extension of The Quran Says, this website is a humble attempt by a group of Muslims to present the Hadith by topic, to complement the verses of the Quran.

According to the Shariah (Islamic Sacred Law), Hadith refers to the report (khabar) that describes the saying (qawl), action (fi'l) or tacit approval (taqrir) of Prophet Mohammad (Peace Be Upon Him).

The legitimacy of hadith is of considerable importance in Islam because of Quranic injunctions for Muslims to obey Prophet Muhammad and follow his example. Sahih Bukhari was compiled by Imam Muhammad al-Bukhari and is considered the most authentic collections of Hadith. It contains over 7,500 Hadith (with repetition), spread over 97 books. To ensure that the website is simple and user-friendly, only the last narrator in the chain of narration has been mentioned. In terms of translation M. Muhsin Khan's english translation of Sahih Bukhari is used as the source.

The Hadith Says is undergoing continuous improvement and in time we hope to add other books of Sahih Hadith along with more translations and languages. We look forward to your support in continuing to improve this undertaking through your comments and suggestions.
